Refund Policy

AJS Psychotherapy, PLLC values transparency and clarity regarding fees and payments. Please review the following refund policy carefully.

Effective Date: 01/14/2026

Therapy Services:

Payment is due at the time services are rendered unless otherwise arranged.

Because psychotherapy services involve the reservation of professional time, completed therapy sessions are non-refundable, including telehealth sessions.

Missed Appointments & Late Cancellations:

Appointments that are missed, cancelled late, or rescheduled with less than 24 hours’ notice are not eligible for a refund and may be subject to the full session fee, in accordance with practice policies.

Exceptions may be considered in cases of emergency or extenuating circumstances, at the discretion of the practice.

Prepaid Sessions:

If sessions are prepaid and therapy services have not yet been rendered, refunds may be issued for unused sessions upon written request, minus any applicable administrative fees, where appropriate.

Refunds will not be issued for sessions that have already taken place.

Insurance & Reimbursements:

If you are using insurance benefits or seeking out-of-network reimbursement, refunds are subject to the policies of your insurance provider. AJS Psychotherapy, PLLC is not responsible for insurance claim denials or reimbursement delays.

Technical Issues (Telehealth):

If a session cannot be completed due to a verified technical issue on the provider’s end, reasonable efforts will be made to reschedule the session or issue a credit toward a future appointment. Refunds for technical issues are handled on a case-by-case basis.
